Oliver is a songwriter, actor and retired hand model. 

Oliver is a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop. His musical, Held Momentarily, played at the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF), and 2014 NY Fringe Festival and Off-Broadway Fringe "Encore" Series. Tony-winning composer Bill Finn included Oliver's work in his "Ridiculously Talented" showcase at Barrington Stage Company and 54 Below. Oliver's short musical, Preschool, was a finalist at the Festival of New American Musicals' ShowSearch competition in LA. His musical adaptation of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull premiered at the On The Verge Theatre Festival in Glasgow, Scotland. Oliver is currently developing new work with the Musical Theater Factory.

Acting credits include Melchior in Spring Awakening (Virginia Rep, RTCC Nomination), "What Would You Do?" (ABC, featured on upworthy.com), "Phowned" (Spike TV), "Life on the Line" (Oxygen, starring Ally Sheedy), and the lead in the Ben Folds Five music video, "Sky High." 

Oliver is a graduate of the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, where he was awarded the Franklin Keller award in recognition of talent. He studied improvisational comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and graduated from the Macaulay Honors Program at Hunter College in 2015.

When he was a little boy, Oliver sang in the NYC Opera Children's Chorus. One day, the chorus director told Oliver he didn't have the voice of an opera singer. From then on, Oliver just mouthed the words. They kept him around because he had a good look.

Oliver is unhealthily obsessed with Stephen Sondheim.
